Prerequisites for Finding Tornadus

Before you can begin hunting this legendary entity, you must first complete the main story campaign by defeating the primary crisis at Mount Coronet. Once the credits roll, progress through Cogita's post-game missions until you unlock Request 94, titled Incarnate Forces of Hisui. This specific request officially triggers the spawns for the legendary genies across various regions of the map.

It is highly recommended to gather plenty of heavy-tier catching items and stealth materials before embarking on this journey. Trying to confront these aggressive creatures unprepared will often result in your character taking severe damage and blacking out. The Precise Location in Alabaster Icelands

Tornadus roams exclusively within the bleak landscapes of the Alabaster Icelands, specifically around the open plains of the Bonechill Wastes. You can easily check the map screen to verify if the unique wind and snowflake icon is active before heading out.

If the weather is clear or only showing standard snowfall, you can repeatedly rest at the nearest base camp until the storm arrives. Once the blizzard conditions are met, travel to the center of the wastes where you will spot the creature floating rapidly across the snowy fields. Be careful when approaching the area, as nearby aggressive wild Pokemon can easily disrupt your positioning.

Breaking the Elemental Shield

When you initially approach Tornadus, the creature will surround itself with a powerful whirlwind barrier that deflects standard Poke Balls and items. It will also notice your presence quickly, launching powerful spatial tornados that track your movement and cause heavy environmental damage. To initiate a true battle, you must successfully shatter this elemental shield from a distance.

The most effective strategy involves using Wing Balls or Jet Balls to strike the genie from afar while utilizing nearby terrain for cover. Alternatively, you can throw a Mud Ball or a Snowball directly at the barrier to stun the creature momentarily.
